
Agustín Acosta AzcÓn


Agustín Acosta Azcón is a seasoned attorney with over 20 years of experience specializing in corporate law, acquisitions, compliance, anti-corruption, and regulatory law. Deeply committed to transforming the culture of corruption within society, Agustín is passionate about helping local and foreign clients expand and protect their businesses and investments in Latin America.
Earlier in his career, Agustín worked with the Attorney General of the Republic of Ecuador in the National Unit for International Affairs and Arbitration from 2009 to 2011, where he was a key member of the legal team defending state interests in both international and national claims. From 2012 to 2014, in Washington, D.C., and Paris, Agustín was part of the International Arbitration team, representing states, state companies, and multinational corporations in commercial and investment disputes. Currently, he is an active speaker and moderator in national and international seminars and conferences on oral litigation, compliance, and anti-corruption. He also leads commercial guilds and associations dedicated to fostering a culture of integrity.

Advising a company in the telecommunications sector on obtaining a license to provide mobile phone towers from the Telecommunications Regulation and Control Agency for the acquisition of mobile phone towers.

Performs multiple reviews, designs, and implementations of compliance systems for several international companies that are adapting to Ecuador.

Environmental Regularization for the KILA SUSTAINABLE RESORT Project located in the Ecuadorian Amazon, in addition to advising them in the process of signing an investment agreement with the Ecuadorian State to obtain tax benefits such as exemption from income tax for 12 years, exemption from tax on the exit of foreign currency and tax stability.

Local advisor to a technology growth equity firm in the acquisition of an Ecuadorian company, performing Due Diligence, tax analysis, employment contracts, and assisting in the SPA Agreement ensuring that it is enforceable under Ecuadorian laws.
