Michael Forest Nelson has been licensed for 33 years.  Mr. Nelson has experience in litigation involving intellectual property, international business, professional malpractice (legal, accounting, insurance agent malpractice), insurance coverage, DTPA, defamation (Anti-Slapp), and tort litigation.

 

Mr. Nelson is a native Texan, born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was a National Science Foundation Scholar in Geology while in high school, at Texas A & M University. He attended la Universidad de Autonoma in Puebla, Mexico and received a B.A. in chemistry from Austin College.  He has an MBA in Finance from The University of Houston and received a J.D. with honors from the University of Texas Law School.  Before attending law school, he worked for the FDIC in Houston and Puerto Rico.

Mr. Nelson has been licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas since 1984. He is licensed in the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Western, and Southern Districts of Texas; Colorado; and the Northern and Western Districts of Oklahoma.  He is also licensed in the 5th Circuit and 10th Circuit Courts of Appeal as well as the United States Supreme Court.   Mr. Nelson has served as a board member of the Down Syndrome Partnership of Tarrant County and the Fort Worth Fly Fishers.
