A Dallas native, Mary Christian (“MC”) Barr brings diverse legal expertise to her practice. She specializes in general civil litigation, appellate, and administrative law, focusing on insurance matters, including first and third-party claims, personal injury, property damage, premise liability, and product liability. MC is fluent in Spanish and handles regulatory affairs before the Federal Aviation Administration for specified Mexican airlines, and she has extricated crane clients in high-stakes civil suits. Super Lawyers recognizes MC as a Rising Star attorney.
MC earned her Bachelor of Science in Strategic Communications from Texas Christian University in 2011. There, she was an active NCAA Women’s Equestrian Team member and contributed to their national championship in 2008. Continuing her academic journey at St. Mary’s University School of Law, MC studied under Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas via The Program of Global Legal Studies at the University of Innsbruck, Austria, in 2013. Following her fellowship, MC was the legal research assistant to the Dean of St. Mary's School of Law, Dean Stephen Sheppard, and she was one of the first to claim Hezbollah connections with the Mexican Drug Cartel. MC earned her J.D. from St. Mary’s in 2015. Currently, she is a Partner at Burt Barr & Associates, LLP.
